The Barrel freestanding bookcase by Jiří Pelcl relies on the repetition of a distinct geometric element—the steel cylinder. Three joined tubes made of formed sheet metal with a diameter of 40 cm are set on a steel profile base. The construction functions both as a striking spatial centerpiece and a functional object.

The internal profile of the cylinders provides space for storing books, magazines, and objects. The base legs feature adjustable feet for precise leveling on uneven surfaces. The Barrel bookcase is designed for residential living spaces, executive offices, and public interiors.
