The SAD Table by Atelier SAD combines the lightness of clean architectural structure with unyielding stability. Its design is defined by a hand-bent steel wire base and a bevelled tabletop edge that creates the illusion of a thin blade floating in space. Thanks to its timeless geometry, the collection transitions effortlessly between residential dining and executive workspace environments.

Key features of the SAD collection:

  • Rigid Steel Base: Engineered from bent wire to support heavy loads. Despite its refined, slender profile, the clever structural cross-bracing makes the base exceptionally rigid—the table won't budge an inch. Available in black powder-coated steel or polished stainless steel.

  • Tabletop Materials: Choose between solid oak or black-core MDF finished with an ultra-matte HPL Touch laminate (soft-touch, anti-fingerprint, scratch, and moisture resistant).

  • Architectural Detailing: The undercut bevelled edge visually lightens the top's profile, while discreet leveling feet compensate for uneven floors.

  • Versatile Range: Available in an extensive choice of sizes and shapes—from compact individual desks and round variants ideal for family gatherings to large conference and boardroom tables.

Atelier SAD

Atelier SAD was founded in 2002 by Adam Jirkal and Jerry Koza. The studio's name originated as a tongue-in-cheek nod to Seasonal Affective Disorder, yet their work is quite the opposite—bringing lightness, wit, and technical precision to architecture and product design.

The team is driven by a desire to explore new opportunities, create original work, and push the boundaries of traditional manufacturing techniques. Today, their distinctive touch can be found across dozens of award-winning buildings, interiors, and products.
